Fundy Treasures

It's amazing what a weekend filled with sea air, a walk on the beach and great camaraderie will do for you. Every fall for the last 17 years a group of us have been spending a weekend at Fundy National Park. We started out tenting but as the years went by we decided we needed more luxurious accommodation. Now we stay in a lovely cottage on a cliff overlooking the beautiful Bay of Fundy. Our time is spent hiking, beachcombing, drinking wine and enjoying each other's company.
When a group of women get together for a break from work and family obligations, believe me, the goal is therapy! Talk is one form of therapy of course and there is never any shortage of that. Pedicures, and facials have been popular. This year hoola hooping was introduced and there was even talk of belly dancing. Some of us took time to do something crafty with some of the treasures we found on the beach.
The best treasure of all, though, is the chance to be part of nature and enjoy the company of good friends!
