Happy New Year





Happy New Year (and Belated Merry Christmas!)

Another Christmas has come and gone and a couple of weeks of over indulging can make you welcome .... perhaps even yearn for, discipline, routine, exercise, organization, light meals, and making plans for the coming year.

January 1, 2018

Started the day off right with a complete "deChristmasing" of the house and a cold, but wonderful walk on a well groomed local trail with two good friends. For supper: a small portion of leftover brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes and cold ham with a tall glass of water and a 100 cal. bag of microwave popcorn in the evening. So far so good!

I realize that my desire for a Spartan lifestyle is only an opposite and equal reaction to the previous weeks of living it up. Never the less, the new year brings not only inspiration to whittle off a few pounds so that I can squeeze into a bathing suit for a "sunny vacation", but also a desire to plan some new projects, learn new skills, work at nurturing relationships with friends and family and be open to meeting new people and trying new things!

Here's to a great year ahead!

Enjoyed fun times with family over the holidays and look forward to more good times in 2018.
